Allow me to
introduce my husband and myself. Our names are
Rick and Denise
Edgar and we are the Owners and Inn keepers here at Dawg Dayz Inn
Limited.
Owning and
operating a Boarding facility in the country has been a
dream of ours for over 30 years. We opened our first
Boarding Kennel in 1998. Since then we have moved locations
to our present facility.
Welcome to our
Doggy Heaven in the woods. Each "Guest" is treated as one of
our own. We pride ourselves in being one of the cleanest and
least stressful places for your "Furkids" to stay. Each
"Guest" is housed in one of our climate controlled (Air
conditioned/ Heated) inside runs. Each of these runs has an
individual attached outdoor patio.
We are a very small
kennel (14 runs) which affords us the time to spend with
each and every "Guest". Big or Small, we take them all! The
kennel is attached directly to our house and therefore the
dogs are part of our daily routines.
In July of 2003 we
opened our new (to us) and present facility in the quiet and
serene hills of Hillsburgh. This facility is a labor of
love and is in ongoing renovations as the previous owners
had let it go. We have completely rebuilt the kennels
keeping in mind it had to be a place in which we would board
our own dogs. In 2004 we added a second huge Play yard, 15000 sq
feet amongst the trees. In 2005 we installed air
conditioning in the kennels for the comfort of our Guests.
This year we are working on an agility exercise area.
My husband and I have been owned by dogs since 1978. We have
had the pleasure to share our lives with Chow Chows for 18
years and Shetland Sheepdogs since 1996. We are presently
owned by 8 Shetland Sheepdogs all of which we have trained
and trialed to obtain titles in Obedience and/or Agility. We
both assist in dog training classes at Campaign Dog Academy
in Georgetown. We are members of the Canadian Kennel Club ,
The Agility Association of Canada and the Canadian Shetland
Sheepdog Rescue.
